Lt. Gen. Tran Minh Duc inspects Brigade 683
PANO – A delegation from the General Department of Logistics and Technical Affairs (GDLT), led by its Political Chief Lieutenant General Tran Minh Duc, conducted an inspection of task performance over the first five months of this year at Brigade 683 and Warehouse J258 under the Department of Vehicles, Machinery, and Transportation.
During this period, Brigade 683 successfully fulfilled all assigned tasks, achieving notable results. The unit strictly maintained its on-duty personnel in accordance with regulations, particularly regarding combat readiness and fire prevention and control. It also completed all documentation related to combat and search-and-rescue operations, actively coordinated with relevant agencies and units, and effectively prepared forces and vehicles to carry out transport missions with absolute safety.

At Warehouse J258, the unit conducted a technical equipment inventory and post-inventory verification as instructed, ensuring both timeliness and quality. The unit regularly preserved armored vehicles, properly unsealed and resealed long-term storage vehicles, and participated in a 2025 military-wide refresher course on motor vehicle and specialized machinery inspection.

Following the inspection, Lt. Gen. Tran Minh Duc praised the efforts of both units. He urged them to continue strictly implementing higher-level directives and orders regarding combat readiness, disaster prevention, and search-and-rescue missions. He also emphasized the need to push forward with administrative reforms, utilize the military data transmission network, and promote the application of science, technology, and digital transformation in line with higher-level plans.
