Lt. Gen. Le Quang Dao holds position as Deputy Chief of General Staff
PANO - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No.2110/QĐ-TTg on September 22, 2025, appointing Lieutenant General Le Quang Dao, Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard, as Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.
Before being appointed Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Le Quang Dao served as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard.

General Dao is also a member of the National Assembly’s Committee on National Defense and Security, and a deputy to the 15th National Assembly of Vietnam.
The decision on appointing Lieutenant General Le Quang Dao as Deputy Chief of the General Staff took effect as from September 22, 2025.
