Lieutenant General Tran Hoai Trung talks with the militia and self-defense force of Binh Loi commune.

Reportedly, in the first half of the year, the provincial armed forces strictly maintained combat readiness, closely followed situational developments, given recommendations on time to the local authorities, contributing to maintaining political security, and social order and safety.

They also well performed tasks related to national defense, recruitment, building of the militia and self-defense force, and national defense education.

The provincial armed forces have so far conducted 85 combat readiness capability inspection sessions in localities and affiliated units.

Concluding the working session, General Trung applauded the provincial armed forces for their achievements in performing their tasks over the past time and asked them to well define their roles and positions in building the defensive posture.

The forces should team up with other local forces to grasp thoroughly local situational developments to avoid being strategically surprised in any circumstances, continue giving recommendations to the local leaderships on national defense and security and ensure social order and safety, promote the quality of training, regular force building and discipline observance while enhancing mass mobilization work, fostering good relations with ethnic minority groups in the locality, and well carry out defense external activities.
