The official also emphasized the need to build a healthy and strong Party organization and comprehensively strong unit; mobilize the public and actively participate in building and consolidating local political bases; enhance the effectiveness of exchange and cooperation activities with neighboring countries’ units and localities, contributing to firmly maintaining border areas of peace, friendship, and development.
The same day, a working delegation of the General Staff, led by its Deputy Chief Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, inspected and extended New Year greetings to Regiment 152 of Military Region 9.
At the working session, Commanding Officer of Regiment 152 Lieutenant Colonel Truong Ngoc Phong briefed the delegation on the unit's achievements in recent years. In 2022, the Party Committees and Chains-of-Command of the regiment and its units at all levels paid attention to leading and directing training and observance of combat readiness. The unit well coordinated with other forces on the island to conduct 267 patrols, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety.

Regiment 152’s troops upheld their strong political will and solidarity. The unit took good care of the health of troops and people on Tho Chu Island.
On the occasion of the lunar New Year 2023, the regiment allocated VND 409 million to give gifts to and organize New Year activities for troops.
Speaking at the working session, Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang praised Regiment 152 for its achievements in 2022, especially in combat readiness observance and protection of national sea and islands.
The general noted that the unit should seriously address shortcomings; continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement directives and orders on combat readiness and organization of the lunar New Year 2023 of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 9; attach importance to ideological and political education of troops; well practice scenarios; organize a happy, safe, and thrifty lunar New Year; closely grasp situational development; closely coordinate with forces.
