During the visits to Lieutenant General Tran Hanh, Senior Lieutenant General Truong Quang Khanh, and Senior Lieutenant General Le Huu Duc, the deputy defense minister wished them a good health and hoped that they would continue to make more contribution to the building of a stronger Vietnam People’s Army.

On the occasion, Gen. Vinh informed them about the outstanding outcomes obtained by the whole military in 2023. Particularly, the CMC and MND directed the whole military to fulfill all assigned missions; closely follow the situation to give timely recommendations to the Party and State on military-defense tasks; synchronously implemented solutions to build an elite, compact and strong military and ensure the successfully task performance in the new situation.
Meanwhile, the whole military strictly maintained combat readiness regulations and actively engaged in the natural disaster prevention and control work, and search and rescue operations.
* On the same day, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son led a delegation of the CMC and MND to offered incense in tribute to martyrs at the Truong Son National War Cemetery; Road 9 National War Cemetery, and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.

In the solemn atmosphere, the delegation spent a minute of silence in memory of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the Party’s revolutionary cause, the country’s independence and reunification, and the people’s happiness.
They vowed to stay absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the people and successfully complete all assignments.
Also on this day, Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son and the delegation inquired after and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers in Quang Tri town and sent gifts to 18 policy beneficiaries in the locality.
* On December 19, a delegation of the CMC and the MND, led by Deputy Chief of the General Staff (GS) Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, visited and handed over 20 gifts to policy beneficiaries in Dien Bien.
Sr. Lt. Gen. Huynh Chien Thang took this occasion to express sincere gratitude to the Party Committee, authorities, and people of the province for supporting troops of the Vietnam People’s Army during the Fatherland protection war, international duties, and the building, fighting and growth of the military.
Also, the GS chief required Military Region 2 and the Dien Bien provincial Military Command to effectively conduct policies for wounded and sick soldiers, martyrs’ relatives, and national contributors, contributing to reducing poverty and promoting the province’s development.
* The same day, Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh led a delegation to offer incense and flowers in commemoration of General Vo Nguyen Giap and 34 soldiers of the Vietnam Dissemination and Liberation Armed Team at the special national relic site of Tran Hung Dao forest in Tam Kim commune, Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province.
The delegation vowed to stay absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and people and are determined to accomplish all assignments.
