Hailing the academy and relevant agencies of the General Staff for their preparatory efforts, Gen. Huong emphasized that this is the first year the Ministry of National Defense has organized a competency assessment exam; therefore, the organizers must ensure strict compliance with regulations, strengthen support for candidates and parents, and prepare contingency plans to guarantee a safe, secure, and successful examination process.
The same day, a delegation from the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP), led by its Deputy Chief Sr. Lt. Gen. Truong Thien To, visited and presented gifts to forces participating in the construction of boarding schools in border communes of Da Nang city.
Nearly 300 troops have been mobilized to support the construction of Dak Pring and La Dee boarding schools.

Also on June 19, GDP’s Deputy Chief Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Quang Minh chaired a working session with the GDP’s Department of Policy and Social Affairs to review the outcomes of the 500-day campaign on accelerating the search for, collection, and identification of martyrs’ remains.

He called for intensified recovery efforts at home and abroad, particularly in areas where information on martyrs and burial sites remains available. He also directed expanded DNA identification efforts, strengthened international cooperation, and thorough preparations for activities marking the 79th anniversary of the Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs' Day in 2026.
