Amid the complicated developments of regional and international situation, the division’s troops have stayed united and promoted their activeness, creativeness, and self-reliance in carrying out missions. As a result, the division has seen developments in all fields, while its Party and public organizations have been consolidated and met all task requirements.

Over the past years, Division 10 has paid special attention to education work and dissemination of the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies, and missions of the Ministry of National Defense and Army Corps 3. The unit has fostered the implementation of the movement of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, morality, and lifestyle, thus raising troops’ political stance, pure revolutionary ethics, self-discipline, and high determination.

At the event, authorized by the State President, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Major General Pham Truong Son handed over the third-class Fatherland Protection Order to Infantry Division 10.

Congratulating the division on its achievements and development over the past 50 years, the deputy chief of the General Staff asked the unit to continue studying resolutions and directives of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense on military and defense tasks.

He urged Division 10 to focus leadership over the implementation of political and ideological education work, enhance the quality of training and exercises, and strictly maintain regularity. In addition, the unit should continue carrying out policy for troops and their families, actively helping local people respond to natural disasters and diseases, participating in search and rescue and hunger elimination and poverty reduction work, and building comprehensively strong and exemplary unit, capable of excellently fulfilling assigned missions in any circumstances.

Fifty years ago on September 20, Dak To Division (predecessor of Division 10) was founded at the foot of Chun Mon Ray mountain in Sa Thay district, Kon Tum province. After the establishment day, the unit achieved significant feats-of-arms in North Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) Campaign, Tay Nguyen Campaign, and Ho Chi Minh Campaign and successfully fulfilled the international service in Cambodia.
