Hundreds of troops mobilized to overcome disaster consequences
PANO – Torrential rains triggering flooding caused significant human and property losses in Ha Giang province, according to the Provincial Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control of Ha Giang, on July 21.

Reportedly, many houses in Ha Giang city and other localities were submerged in up to 1 meter of water.
Several major roads including National Highway No 2 from Tuyen Quang to Ha Giang were also blocked due to flooding and landslides.
Three people were buried in a landslide.
In response to the calamity in Ha Giang province, the Provincial Military Command mobilized 776 troops from military units and local forces and vehicles to help local people overcome the consequences of the flooding.
In the coming time, the Department for Search and Rescue will continue coordinate with the Military Region 2 Command to direct the local authorities to prepare forces and vehicles to respond to the situation in a timely manner, so as to minimize losses.
