Reportedly, the storm destroyed 60,000 piper nigrum trees, one of the key agricultural crops of the district, ripped off the roofs of twelve houses, and damaged a communal house, causing damages of about VND 200 million. Moreover, the communes of Po Lang and Kon Thup were the most devastated localities in the district.
At the scene, troops of Army Corps 3 quickly cleaned the environment and rebuilt damaged houses and unroofed ones, contributing to supporting the locals in returning to their normal life.
Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Van Thanh, Deputy Political Chief of Artillery Brigade 40, said that all troops joining the mission have put in their utmost efforts. They hoped to fulfill the task in one week, he stressed.
