Flood-resistant houses handed over to poor people in Thua Thien – Hue
PANO - Vietnam Television’s Vietnamese Heart Fund and the Ecopark urban area’s Viet Hung Joint Stock Company on May 23 and 24 handed over five flood resistant houses to five poor families in the flood-prone district of Quang Dien, Thua Thien-Hue province.
The handover of the VND 70 million houses was in response to the national disaster control week. This year the annual event lasts from May 15 to May 22.
In addition to handing over the houses, the Vietnamese Heart Fund also cooperated with Long Hai Company to award 30 scholarships to disadvantaged students in Quang Dien district, each worth VND 1 million.
