Hai Duong troops well conduct COVID-19 response
PANO – Amid the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hai Duong provincial Military Command convened for a meeting on February 16 to assign missions to its relevant units and agencies.
Reports delivered at the meeting revealed that over the past time the provincial Military Command and its agencies and units thoroughly embraced and strictly carried out higher levels’ directives on COVID-19 prevention and control and closely followed the development of SARS-CoV-2 in the province. The province’s armed forces also made timely recommendations for the provincial People’s Committee to effectively control the COVID-19 outbreak in the province.
Particularly, the provincial Military Command formed three quick-response teams with 45 members and sent 1,570 troops to reinforce local forces in preventing and controlling SARS-CoV-2. The unit also set up more than 700 checkpoints and 208 quarantine zones in 12 districts, provincial capital city and instructed its agencies and units to work with localities to prepare quarantine zones for thousands of people who had close contact with COVID-19 cases.
Concluding the meeting, Commander of the provincial Military Command Senior Colonel Nguyen Huy Thang praised the efforts of the province’s armed forces, especially those working in quarantine zones and medical checkpoints, in containing the pandemic. He asked agencies and units to predict the development of SARS-CoV-2 in the province, so as to quickly respond to any circumstances.
