Reportedly, during the first months of this year, MR9’s armed forces have strictly implemented all directives and instructions of the MND and GS about combat readiness work, especially Directive No.85 of the Minister of National Defense on combat readiness and the organization of the lunar New Year 2023 holiday. They have also seriously maintained combat readiness, actively grasped the situation and addressed arising issues.
The provincial and municipal military commands in the region have also made good recommendations to local authorities so as to flexibly conduct defense and military tasks, especially the Politburo's Resolution No.28 on continuing to build provinces and centrally-governed cities into firm defensive areas in the current context, the government's Decree No.21 on defensive areas, and the government's Decree No.02 on civil defense.
Meanwhile, the party and political work has also been comprehensively carried out, while dissemination about big events of the country in the 2023-2025 period has been promoted. Various military-civilian lunar New Year activities have been held with practical meanings, contributing to boosting people’s trust in the military and MR9’s armed forces.
Besides, technical and logistic work has also been ensured, contributing to raising troops’ living standards while meeting all task requirements.
On behalf of the delegation, Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh congratulated MR9’s armed forces on their achievements over the past time. The GS deputy chief requested the unit to strictly maintain combat readiness, grasp situations, and make further recommendations to the Central Military Commission, MND and local authorities to address any arising issues.
In addition, the unit should boost political education and dissemination work to raise troops’ awareness and prevent any violations of military discipline and regulations, contributing to building a strong party organization and a typical exemplary unit, among others.

Earlier, on April 18, the delegation visited the Kien Giang provincial Military Command.
After inspecting the unit, Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh acknowledged the unit’s achievements over the past time.
He asked them to continue to strictly implement all directives and instructions of the higher levels, raise troops’ awareness so as to fulfill all assigned missions, maintain combat readiness so as to build a comprehensively strong unit.
In addition, local troops should act as a core force in natural disaster prevention and control as well as search and rescue mission, to name but a few, he concluded.
