On behalf of the Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense, and GDP’s leaders, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau wished General Le Van Dung good health and longevity. He hoped that the retired general will further promote revolutionary morality and vanguard and exemplary spirit and make contribution to the revolutionary cause of the Party and building of revolutionary, regular, elite, and gradually modernized military. 

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau briefed General Le Van Dung on the military’s outstanding outcomes, implementation of the Party and political work, and gratitude activities over the past time. Particularly, the whole military has closely followed situational development and thoroughly grasped missions, especially key tasks determined by the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission.

Units in the whole military have actively renewed and improved the quality of political and ideological education. Party and political work in other missions has been intensively carried out, meeting requirements and tasks in the new situation.

At the Ben Tre provincial Military Command, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau praised the unit for its obtained outcomes in 2022. He asked the provincial military command to regularly study and strictly implement higher levels’ resolutions and directives; comprehensively and synchronously carry out the “Determined to Win” movement; effectively deal with circumstances; maintain and enhance combat readiness capability; complete all criteria of building a comprehensively strong, exemplary, and outstanding unit; foster emulation movements to raise the quality and effectiveness of missions; well carry out policies for troops and their families.

The same day, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau visited the GDP’s agencies in Can Tho city on the occasion of the lunar New Year. On the basis of the obtained results, the GDP’s leader asked agencies to well carry out dissemination of activities of troops and militia force; ensure safety at events; build good relationship with local Party Committees, authorities, and armed forces; well maintain duty and combat readiness regulations; ensure safety for their agencies and traffic safety during the lunar New Year.

On the occasion, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau handed over the GDP’s gifts and extended New Year wishes to agencies’ personnel and their families
