The mission checks training equipment at Gia Dinh Regiment.

During the inspection visit, Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Cong Toi, Commanding Officer of Gia Dinh Regiment, reported that right after the end of this year’s examinations and exercises, the regiment pro-actively stabilized its personnel organization, mobilized troops to reinforce barracks, accommodation, build a system of training grounds and training equipment, and develop lesson plans.

The unit also organized a training course to improve capacity of instructors, maintained military discipline and force-regularity building, and ensured logistic and technical services for missions.

On touring the regiment and hearing reports, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nam applauded and highly praised the unit for its active deployment of training plans for new recruits and new tasks for 2022.

The mission also tours troops’ accommodation.

General Nam asked the regiment’s Party Committee and Chain-of-command to continue embracing the Party’s resolutions and higher levels’ plans to make troops understand the characteristics  of their missions, their advantages and disadvantages during task performance.

The regiment was requested to team with local relevant forces to effectively carry out the recruitment drive, receive new recruits, and fully prepare training materials while boosting production to improve troops’ living standards and ensure troops’ health for training sessions.

Apart from above duties, the regiment must strictly observe COVID-19 prevention and control regulations, Chief of the Ho Chi Minh City Command added.

Also on the day, the mission visited and encouraged a special team of Gia Dinh Regiment who have completed their COVID-19 prevention tasks in the city.
