The report presented at the meeting highlighted that in July 2025, the General Staff directed the whole military to strictly maintain combat readiness posture; closely manage airspace, seas, borders, internal areas, and cyberspace; grasp and accurately forecast the situation to firmly safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Military units seriously adhered to the instructions of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff, especially in closely managing key areas along the borderline and major strategic regions; enhancing on-duty forces; developing combat plans and maintaining readiness to handle contingencies. Training and drills were conducted in line with the set programs and schedules. Units participating in the parade in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2) have been practicing and coordinating effectively to ensure performance quality.

Forces were also on constant standby for search and rescue missions, particularly in responding to Storm No.3 (Typhoon Wipha) and its aftermath, helping residents in Northern and North-Central provinces overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

In his speech, General Nguyen Tan Cuong praised the remarkable efforts of the units over the past month. He emphasized that in August and the coming time, the entire military must continue to strictly uphold combat readiness, make accurate forecasts, and provide timely and effective strategic advice and responses to all developments. The military should closely coordinate with the public security forces to maintain national security and social order, while deploying measures to ensure security and safety for celebratory activities marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

General Cuong also urged units to finalize combat documents and legal normative documents; closely manage defense land and carefully appraise socio-economic development plans and projects in accordance with regulations. Alongside strict control of border, sea, and island areas, forces must strengthen immigration control, ensure aviation safety, and tightly manage unmanned aerial vehicles.

Units taking part in the parade and march are required to continue rehearsal activities with absolute safety and quality, ensuring the best preparations for the upcoming national celebration events.
