Ba Son Corporation launches TT-400 high-speed patrol vessel
PANO - On May 6, in Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Son Corporation under the General Department of Defense Industry held a launching ceremony for the TT-400 high-speed patrol vessel, the 13th of its kind, as part of the project to build new vessels for the Vietnam Coast Guard.
In his speech, Deputy General Director of Ba Son Corporation Senior Colonel Le The Hoang stressed that in recent years, the corporation has been entrusted with numerous projects involving the building and repair of modern military and defense vessels with requirements on advanced technical and technological standards.

He added that in 2025, the company was assigned to build TT-400, a modern vessel with high technical requirements and capabilities to effectively support law enforcement and protection of national maritime sovereignty. Considering it a key political task, the company pro-actively made vessel design, procured materials, ensured sufficient resources for project execution.

On March 19, 2025, it started the building of the vessel. To date, the project has been implemented in accordance with schedule, quality standards and technical requirements. The corporation has closely coordinated with relevant units to conduct inspections, stage-by-stage approval, and full verification of technical and safety conditions, ensuring the vessel launch in compliance with regulations.

According to Senior Colonel Nguyen Quang Hung, Head of Department of Logistics and Technical Services and Deputy Head of the Project Management Board for Vietnam Coast Guard vessel building project, practical operation showed that such vessels have effectively demonstrated their tactical and technical performance, fulfilling missions of patrol, law enforcement, and safeguarding sovereignty and sovereign rights over Vietnam’s sea and islands. The continued implementation of the vessel building project reflects the strong attention of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense toward the Vietnam Coast Guard, as well as the Coast Guard’s confidence in the TT-400 vessels.
