General Staff’s mission inspects Brigade 239
PANO - A mission of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by its Deputy Chief, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, on August 16 inspected Brigade 239 of the Engineer Corps.
Accordingly, the mission focused on checking the unit’s combat readiness capabilities, quality of training, discipline observance and policy implementation, and management of weapons and military equipment.
In the first seven months of 2019, the unit has thoroughly grasped all of the above resolutions and orders, implemented comprehensively and successfully completed all its assigned missions. Furthermore, the brigade has successfully organized training, improved the techno-tactical training quality, and strengthened physical training for military engineers.
After checking all aspects of the unit, General Cuong pointed out several shortcomings and existing problems. The Deputy Chief of the General Staff requested the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of the brigade to promote the education and training work, help its troops better understand combat readiness missions, strictly maintain combat readiness and military discipline observance, and implement search and rescue missions well in the coming time.
