General Staff delegation inspects combat readiness at ADAF Service’s affiliates
PANO - On January 21, a working delegation of the General Staff, led by its Deputy Chief Senior Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son, conducted inspections and paid pre-Lunar New Year (Tet) visits to Regiment 916 of Division 371 and Regiment 218 of Division 361 under the Air Defense-Air Force (ADAF) Service.

After the on-site inspections, Gen. Son highly praised troops of the two regiments for their solidarity and great efforts to overcome difficulties, and successful fulfillment of assigned tasks.
He highlighted their thorough grasping and implementation of higher level directives on military and defense tasks for 2026 and guidance on combat readiness to protect the 14th National Party Congress and organize the Lunar New Year 2026.
The General Staff’s leader also commended them for their strict observance of combat readiness duty regulations, fine-tuning and supplementation of operational documents in alignment with reality and the two-tier local government model, as well as organization of training as planned.
He urged the two units to continue realizing leadership directives regarding military and defense tasks and combat readiness.

He urged them to raise troops’ awareness and responsibility of Fatherland protection mission in the new situation, and strictly observe combat readiness duty to protect the ongoing 14th National Party Congress and organize the upcoming Lunar New Year activities.
He also asked them to improve training quality with increased practice; renew thinking and awareness of training and exercises; accelerate the application of information technology, digital transformation, and simulation technology in training; strictly maintain regularity, observe discipline, manage personnel and ensure absolute safety in all working aspects.

They should also build healthy and strong Party organizations, comprehensively-strong units, ensure living standards of troops.
As the Lunar New Year is approaching, the General Staff’s leader wished the two units’ personnel good health, family happiness, and outstanding fulfillment of assignments.
