Talking to the units’ leadership, General Vinh required them to continue providing timely advice for the local authorities to comprehensively implement military-defense tasks, build firm defensive areas, and ensure political stability and social order in their stationed areas. He also urged the units to maintain combat readiness and complete training plans in line with their assigned tasks.

* The same day, Lieutenant General Ngo Minh Tien, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, inspected the task performance of the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Military and Border Guard Commands.
Speaking at the working session, General Tien asked the units’ Party committees and chains of command to embrace the Party resolutions and to provide timely advice for the municipal authorities in operating military-defense tasks and building the militia forces. In addition, he urged them to closely collaborate with each other to follow all situations, conduct regular training exercises, contributing to dealing promptly with unexpected situations and ensuring socio-political stability and maritime border security.
* On May 7, a delegation of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, visited and checked the combat readiness of units of Naval Region 4, Submarine Brigade 189, and Division 377 of the Air Defense and Air Force Service.
Having inspected the units’ task performances, General Tan required them to closely collaborate with local forces to follow all situations firmly, to practice training exercises proficiently, and continuously implement the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.
* A delegation of the General Staff, headed by its Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, checked combat readiness of the Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command and Brigade 170 of the Naval Region 1 Command.
Having praised the units’ recent achievements, General Nghia asked them to embrace the directives from higher levels, fulfill training tasks, and firmly safeguard the national sovereignty over seas and islands. He also urged the chain of command of Brigade 170 to enhance training activities and master their weapons and equipment, contributing to performing their tasks effectively in new contexts.
