General Staff’s leaders inspect combat readiness of military units
PANO - A delegation of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by its Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, visited and inspected combat readiness at Divisions 372 and 375 of the Air Force and Air Defense Service on May 6.

Speaking at the working session, General Vinh required the units’ Party Committee and Chain of Command to continuously grasp higher levels’ resolutions and directives on training and combat readiness, conduct political and ideological education, enhance vigilance for troops, and maintain military disciplines and training regulations. In addition, he urged them to complete training plans in line with the real situations and missions, regularly carry out training exercises, and closely collaborate with relevant forces to deal with unexpected issues.
* The same day, Lieutenant General Ngo Minh Tien, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, checked the task performance of Divisions 367 and 370 of the Air Defense and Air Force Service.
Having inspected the units’ missions, General Tien asked them to continue maintaining combat readiness and collaborating with other forces to fulfill their assigned tasks. Additionally, he required the divisions to enhance technical staff training, and promote emulation movements with a focus on building strong Party organizations and comprehensively strong units.

* Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff also had an inspection trip to the Naval Region 1 Command and the Coast Guard Region 1 Command on May 6.
Reportedly, the two units have overcome hardships and fulfilled their military-defense missions in the first four months of 2020.
General Nghia urged them to continue embracing higher levels’ directives and accomplishing training tasks to firmly safeguard national sovereignty over the national seas and islands in the areas that they are in charge of. He also asked the units to collaborate with local forces to implement their training tasks, contributing to proactively coping with all situations.
