PANO - General Phung Quang Thanh, Member of the Politburo, Minister of National Defence, on the first day of 2015 visited the historical relic site of the Central Office for South Vietnam (Dong Nai). Lieutenant General Tran Don, Commander of Military Zone 7 and Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh, Secretary of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee accompanied the General.

General Phung Quang Thanh offered incense to the martyrs, visited the museum of the relic, and signed the visitors’ book. He wrote, "The Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defence, and the officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army pay deep tribute to the martyrs and people who sacrificed their lives in Revolutionary Base D for the cause of national liberation. The whole army will continue promoting the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and serve as the main force, together with the Party and People, in safeguarding the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.”
On this occasion, the Minister and Commander of Military Zone 7 planted memorial trees at the site.
