Addressing the event, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister, congratulated General Tien upon receiving the noble award, which  demonstrated the recognition of the Party, State, and military for contribution of the senior officer to the Party’s revolutionary course over the past 40 years.

He underlined that General Tien is an excellent officer, who has made significant contribution to the Party’s revolutionary cause and the military’s development.

In his 40 years standing in the ranks of the Party, General Tien has been in many working positions, trained and matured in the practice of leadership in different agencies and units. He always shows firm political bravery and absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; maintains the revolutionary morality, and strives to fulfill all assigned tasks well.

Notably, on his post as Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, he, together with the Standing Board of the Party Committee of the General Staff, directed affiliated units to grasp all situations, provided timely advice for the Party, State and the Central Military Commission to promptly deal with unexpected situations, and directed the whole-military to fulfill all set targets.

In a solemn atmosphere, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong handed over the badge to Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Minh Tien and wished him to continue promoting the traditions of the Party, the military and the General Staff, contributing to completing all assigned missions.
