At the meeting, on behalf of the PAN’s Party Committee and Board of Editors, Major General Pham Van Huan, PAN Editor-in-Chief, expressed thanks to the leadership of the GDP, particularly General Nghia, for their support for the military press agency over the past time.
He also briefed the delegation on the unit’s task performance in 2018, its plan to publish editions during this Tet, and its preparations for the celebration of Tet.
Addressing the event, General Nghia acknowledged the PAN’s achievements in information and social activities over the past year and hoped that the newspaper would continue to play a pioneer role in disseminating information about Party building and enhance the quality of articles on the fight against the “peaceful evolution” plot of hostile forces as well as against signs of “self-transformation” and “self-evolution,” contributing to building a politically-strong military, beautifying the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, and promoting troops’ political stance, knowledge, competency, and lifestyles to fulfill all assigned tasks.
General Nghia underlined that the PAN should pay due attention to disseminating information related to the military’s defense-security missions, the Party’s and State’s foreign policy and activities, the military’s defense cooperation, and the Party's guidelines on streamlining the military’s organizational structure.
In addition, he also pointed out several approaches to help the PAN continue improving its staff’s professionalism and qualifications to meet the requirements of tasks in the current context and well implement the governmental project to build the newspaper as one of the six major national multimedia press agencies in Vietnam.
On the occasion of the upcoming Tet, General Nghia extended best wishes to all leaders, reporters, editors and employees of the newspaper.
The same day, he paid pre-Tet visits to the Military Broadcasting Center, Military Arts and Literature Magazine, Military Insurance Company, Department of Policies, and Whole-People Defense Magazine.
