GDP’s leader meets with voters in Thanh Hoa
PANO – Director of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) General Luong Cuong, on April 27, had a meeting with voters in Vinh Loc district (Thanh Hoa province) ahead of the third session of the 15th National Assembly (N.A.).
During the meeting, voters in the district expressed their delight at the country’s achievements over the past time, especially in the COVID-19 prevention and control work as well as socio-economic recovery.

Local voters also expressed their strong belief in the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies on social welfare and corruption and wastefulness combat. Various guidelines and policies were quickly adopted and have been effectively carried out, contributing to addressing the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the meeting, voters in Vinh Loc district put forward some proposals to repair and develop the world cultural heritage of the Ho Dynasty Citadel, expand a road section through the district, build advanced new-style rural areas, and construct houses for national contributors.
Speaking at the meeting, General Luong Cuong thanked voters for their frank and enthusiastic comments and affirmed that he will submit their proposals to the N.A. and relevant agencies to address them.

GDP’s Director also informed the participants on the N.A.’s outcomes over the past time. He recalled that in the context that the country was strongly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 15th N.A. convened its first extraordinary session to promptly issue policies on socio-economic recovery and development. The working session demonstrated the N.A.’s activeness and pro-activeness in dealing with the nation’s urgent issues.
At the event, the N.A. deputy also expressed delight at the locality’s achievements in socio-economic development and defense and security consolidation. He laid stress on the quick socio-economic recovery, improvement of people’s living standards, and effective implementation of national goal programs.
GDP’s director expected to regularly receive more comments from voters in the future.
