Defense minister meets with Thai Nguyen voters
PANO – Minister of National Defense General Phan Van Giang, a deputy of the 15th National Assembly (N.A.), met with voters in Thai Nguyen province on November 15 after the second session of the 15th N.A.
The event was held via video conference, connecting from the center of Thai Nguyen city to localities of the province, with the participation of over 1,700 voters.

At the meeting, the delegation of Thai Nguyen's N.A. deputies briefed voters on the results of the second session of the 15th N.A.
Opinions of voters at the meeting highlighted their trust and highly appreciation on effective measures of the leadership of the Party and State in combating with the COVID-19 pandemic, developing socio-economy, and ensuring a stable life for the people. They also expressed hope that the N.A. and Government will pay more attention to support needy people, laborers, and enterprises to overcome hardships and stabilize their life and recover production and business operation soon. They suggested that the Government should adjust several support policies for staff and employees, stabilize the petrol price, and address difficulties in the agricultural sector. The Ministry of Transportation should soon complete key transportation projects crossing the province’s industry zones, they added.

Based on the opinions of the voters, representatives of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee answered and clarified each content and explained relevant matters.
Speaking at the meeting, General Phan Van Giang stressed that the voters’ opinions are close to the real situations, showing their high consensus with the local authorities. He also briefed voters on the national socio-economic situations over the past time, especially the country’s and military’s COVID-19 prevention and control.
The defense minister affirmed that the military sent a great number of troops and vehicles to assist the COVID-19 fight in the localities. He also informed the voters about the outcomes of military and defense missions over the past time while expressing his hope that the local authorities and people will continue supporting military units in implementing their assigned missions.
