During the event, the delegation comprehensively assessed task performance in all fields, especially the political and ideological work; training and combat readiness; technical and logistic services; living standards; while organizing activities to present gifts to soldiers and islanders.

General Quyet hailed the task performance of the units stationed in Truong Sa district and DK1 platforms. Reportedly, the units have strictly maintained Party and political work and actively overcome difficulties to fulfill assigned tasks. He also affirmed that in the face of complicated developments in the region and world, the units should heighten combat readiness posture and take care of troops’ material and spiritual life, contributing to building the whole people's defense posture, being ready in any circumstances, boosting military-civilian ties, encouraging fishermen to continue fishing at sea, and firmly protecting the national sovereignty over sea and islands.

On this occasion, the delegates learnt about the reality so as to make proposals to higher levels, making contribution to both fostering socio-economic development and protecting the national sovereignty over sea and islands.

The program helped delegates raise awareness of the national sovereignty over sea and islands as well as the sense of protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland. Especially, all delegates felt very proud and admired troops’ self-reliance in overcoming difficulties to complete assigned tasks. They also expressed their beliefs in the troops’ and islanders’ bravery, will, determination and loyalty to the Party, State and political system.
