Reports revealed that under the leadership of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the Ministry of National Defense, the MR3 Command and party committees and chains-of-command at all levels have closely cooperated with local leadership and directed the armed forces to comprehensively fulfill the set targets. Notably, the military region has directed its agencies and units to strictly observe combat readiness regulations; review and adjust combat readiness plans; firmly maintain political security and public order.

Together with directing the implementation of local military and defense missions, MR3’s Party Committee has actively made preparations for its defensive operation drill, provincial defensive area exercises, and natural disasters and search and rescue exercises.
Speaking at the working session, Gen. Luong Cuong acknowledged and praised the MR3’s Party Committee and chain-of-command for their unity and accomplishment of tasks set for the first half of this year.
To fulfill missions in the second half, Gen. Cuong asked MR3’s Standing Party Committee to direct its agencies and units to strictly maintain combat readiness and well prepare forces and vehicles to respond to natural disasters and conduct search and rescue and other unexpected missions. The military region should cooperate with other forces to closely follow situational developments, thus handling all circumstances in a timely and effective manner to firmly maintain political security and public order, and make accurate assessment of training results.
Talking about the requirement of building an elite, compact, and powerful military, Gen. Cuong asked the military region’s Party Committee to pay attention to training and selecting personnel and direct its affiliates to study and strictly implement resolutions and plans on streamlining the Vietnam People’s Army in the 2021-2030 period and years to come.
MR3 should comprehensively take measures to build politically-strong armed forces, effectively carry out the “Determined to Win” movement in 2023 and other movements launched by agencies and sectors, raise the effectiveness of Party and political work, and build safe units and localities.
Gen. Luong Cuong noted that MR3’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command should focus leadership on the building of a healthy, strong, and outstanding party organization and a comprehensively strong, exemplary, and outstanding unit. The military region should strengthen solidarity and foster the studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style and implementation of the Party’s resolutions and conclusion on Party building and rectification and the CMC’s resolution on promoting virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.
