GDP’s activities marking 60th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Trail
PANO – As instructed by the General Department of Politics (GDP), the Army Youth Board, in association with Army Corps 12, Military Region 4’s Political Department, the Nghe An provincial Youth Union Chapter and Military Radio-Television Center, held an art program, “The Legend of the Road”, on May 9, as part of the activities marking the 60th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Trail and the Traditional Day of Truong Son Army Corps.

The three-part program attracted the participation of 400 military and local artists. Through well-prepared performances, the event recalled milestones in the glorious history of the Vietnamese people during the war against US imperialists for national salvation.
On the same day, the organizing panel of the program conducted various gratitude activities in Tan Ky district, Nghe An province. Accordingly, they inquired after and presented gifts to former Truong Son soldiers, voluntary soldiers, conscripted laborers, and needy children with good academic records in the locality.
Also the organizers handed over two houses to Vietnamese heroic mother Pham Thi Phi from Nghia Dung commune and needy veteran Lo Van Cau in Tien Ky commune, and a playground for Nghia Dung commune’s Kindergarten.
