GDP leader rolls out missions for participants of Army Games 2022
PANO – A conference was held on March 23 in Hanoi, under the chair of Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, to roll out missions for the Vietnamese Culture and Art Troupe to join the Army Games 2022 in Russia.
According to Deputy Director of the GDP’s Department of Information and Training Major General Le Xuan Sang, this is the second consecutive year that the Organizing Board of the sports festival has closely and comprehensively adjusted the regulations.

This year, the number of Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense (MND) teams will decrease by two teams in comparison to the previous year, which are the Vietnam People’s Navy Team (participating in the “Sea Cup” contest) and the Vietnamese team of service dogs (competing in the “True Friend” dog handlers competition).
The Vietnamese Culture and Art Troupe is one of the 15 contingents participating in 15 contests of the Army Games 2022, which will be organized in nine countries and regions.

70% of the team participating in the international sports event for the first time with the target of gaining higher results than the previous year and strict regulations are major challenges for the troupe. In addition, they also have to take part in an online vote for their introducing video and performance via the organizing panel’s website and social media.
Therefore, they are making thorough preparations for their participation in the Army Games 2022, thanks to the care of the MND, General Staff and GDP.
Concluding the event, General Quyet hailed the good preparation and efforts of relevant units, their initiatives in early training for the participating contingents in the Army Games 2022.
Reportedly, there will be two other events held in the framework of the Army Games 2022, including the International Military-Technical Forum and Moscow Conference on International Security. Amid the complicated developments of the world’s situation, in line with the Party’s, State’s and military in defense diplomacy, General Quyet requested relevant units to promote cooperation and create favorable conditions for the teams to best fulfill their assigned tasks.
