Teams and individuals with outstanding performance at Army Games 2021 honored
PANO – The General Department of Political Affairs (GDP), on November 3, held a conference, chaired by its Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, to review task performance of the Art Troupe of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) participating in the Army Games 2021 and awarded outstanding teams and individuals in the competition.
During this year’s competition, the GDP was tasked with preparing for the “Army of Culture” contest. With the high determination and efforts, the VPA’s Art Troupe made remarkable performance and bagged many prizes, ranking fourth out of thirteen competing countries.

Addressing the event, General Quyet acknowledged and hailed great efforts of the contingent as well as teams and individuals who were in charge of dissemination work along with the games. The GDP’s deputy chief affirmed that throughout the competition, relevant units actively joined hands with functional organizations to prepare for the participation of the contingent in Russia with absolute safety. Meanwhile, dissemination work on the two contests, “Sniper Frontier” and “Emergency Area,” which were hosted by Vietnam for the first time, also left a good impression on international friends.
He also requested the units and individuals to continue to strictly maintain military-defense work about Vietnam’s participation in the Army Games. Regarding organization and training work, participating teams should learn from experience so as to raise the quality of the cultural and art personnel in general and in the games in particular.

During the conference, GDP’s teams and individuals with outstanding performance at the Army Games 2021 received certificates of merit of the Defense Minister and the GDP’s chief.
