In his preliminary conclusions, Gen. Tung commended the units for their serious and responsible preparations for the inspection. He also highly appreciated the Engineering Corps and the Artillery-Missile Command for their comprehensive and effective leadership of inspection-related preparations.
The Engineering Officer Candidate School was hailed for implementing Party and political work in a coordinated and systematic manner, closely aligned with the school’s political mission. Political and ideological education, dissemination work and emulation movements recorded positive innovations, contributing to a stable political and ideological environment and strong determination among cadres, instructors, cadets and soldiers to fulfill assigned tasks.

The GDP leader highly valued the school’s pro-active development of innovative and practical models in education, training and cadet management. He noted the initial application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in political education, ideological management and administration, and the effective role of clubs, innovation and research groups.
He requested the Party Committee and Board of Administrators of the school to continue strictly implementing higher level directives and resolutions, strengthen political and ideological education, maintain Party discipline, improve the quality of Party activities, promote the exemplary role of cadres and Party members, enhance practical training and exercises, improve instructor quality, and accelerate the development of a smart military school.
Regarding Brigade 96, the GDP’s deputy chief noted that the unit has comprehensively fulfilled assigned tasks for the first half of 2026, with positive progress in many areas. The unit has maintained combat readiness duties, closely managed weapons, equipment and defense land, and developed and rehearsed scenarios.

He called on the brigade’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command to further strengthen political and ideological education, build firm political resolve among troops, maintain discipline, and pro-actively prevent risks to internal security and military secrecy.
Regarding military tasks, Gen Tung emphasized the need to effectively build Brigade 96 into a combined unit capable of meeting new mission requirements. Training should remain practical and mission-oriented, focusing on command and staff skills, mobility, coordination, and mastery of weapons and equipment to ensure readiness for all assigned tasks.
