National flag-raising ceremony at Ba Dinh Square
PANO - In the sacred atmosphere of Ba Dinh Square, the sound of the national anthem each morning, accompanied by the red flag with a yellow star flying in front of the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, has become a deeply symbolic image for generations of Vietnamese people.
The daily flag-raising and flag-lowering ceremonies attract large numbers of residents and international visitors, especially during national holidays, Lunar New Year celebrations, and major anniversaries of the country.
Following Circular No.51/2025/TT-BQP dated June 23, 2025, on regulations governing the organization of the national flag-raising and flag-lowering ceremonies at Ba Dinh Square, Regiment 275 has strictly and solemnly carried out all required procedures. The circular has formalized the process and methods for conducting the ceremonies into legal regulations, ensuring consistency in implementation, improving coordination for security and safety, and enhancing public awareness of the ceremonies as well as the political and cultural significance of the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex.
This year marks the 25 years since Regiment 275 under the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command first performed the national flag-raising and flag-lowering ceremonies at Ba Dinh Square (May 19, 2001 - 2026.)
For a quarter of a century, regardless of weather conditions, the disciplined marching, precise military movements, and solemn spirit of the regiment’s officers and soldiers have helped preserve the dignity of the nation’s political heart while fostering patriotism, national pride, and civic responsibility among the public.
