According to the Department of Military Training under the General Staff, agencies and units participating in the parade in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory have pro-actively carried out missions as planned. The department has actively sought higher levels’ approval of related projects and plans; conducted surveys to determine the location of the fireworks display; well coordinated with other forces to ensure accommodation for participants.

Concluding the event, the deputy chief of the General Staff emphasized that the parade is one of the key contents at the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory; an important mission demonstrating the image and prestige of the military. He requested agencies and units to form forces to carry out the General Staff’s plan; well ensure technical services, logistics supplies, communication and security and safety; observe and assess the performance of agencies and units joining the parade.

As planned, after training at their units, participating troops will jointly train at National Military Training Center TB4 in March and April. In late April and early May, participating forces will head to Dien Bien Phu City of Dien Bien province for rehearsal and the official event.
