Photos on display at the exhibition

Accordingly, the exhibition comprises four parts featuring 180 photos, publications and documents related to Dien Bien province’s history and tourism.

On display in the first part are 50 photos reflecting production activities, culinary culture, costumes, traditional festivals and musical instruments, and folk games of ethnic groups in Dien Bien province.

Local people and visitors at the exhibition

The second part showcases 50 photos highlighting the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. The third introduces special national relic sites of the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield Complex and popular destinations of the province. The fourth is about the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage of the province.

According to Director of the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum Vu Thi Tuyet Nga, the exhibition aims to popularize the role and significance of the Dien Bien Phu Victory in 1954 and introduce the culture and tourism of the province to residents and tourists, contributing to disseminating and educating the public of the patriotism and solidarity of the Vietnamese military and people.

Moreover, the exhibition gives local people and visitors a better understanding of the history of Dien Bien province and its changes in various fields of politics, economy, culture, education, defense and security, as well as the cultural beauty of 19 ethnic groups and famous tourist attractions in the province.
