An art performance at the event
The festival consisted of semi-epic arts and a traditional camp-fire, showing the construction and development of the Military Youth and the Military Youth Board. In addition, the festival is to encourage and orientate military youth to continue preserving and promoting their traditions and fulfilling all assigned missions in the current context.
Under the instruction of the Standing Committee of the Central Party Committee, on February 8 (1952), the first National Salvation Youth Team was formed at Company 29, Battalion 183, Regiment 246 (deployed to protect the Central Party Committee members, President Ho Chi Minh, and the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.) This was a historic event of the youth union work and youth movement in the whole army. According to Decision No.1034/QD-CT of the GDP Director, February 8 (1952) was the founding day of the Military Youth and Military Youth Board.
Over the past years, military youth union organization have been well structured in the whole army. Accordingly, youth union members have always preserved and promoted patriotic tradition, and absolutely been loyal to the Party and Fatherland. In all revolutionary periods, military youth has always taken the lead in developing the military for the cause of national construction and defense. Therefore, the Military Youth Board plays an important role in the army, deserving to be an advisory organ on military youth work.
