Engineering unit promptly prepares for Phong Chau pontoon bridge building

PANO - Engineering Brigade 249 under the Engineering Corps is making thorough preparations for the building of a pontoon bridge on the Red River to temporarily replace Phong Chau bridge, which has recently collapsed.

Units under the brigade are completing two approach slabs on the river banks in Lam Thao and Tam Nong districts of Phu Tho province.

They launched some spans of the pontoon bridge to check their technical conditions to ensure the safety of the future bridge.

The pontoon bridge will help facilitate travel of local people.
