A small but sentimental gift presented to the family of an engineer

According to the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations (VNDPKO), the Engineering Company Rotation 1 will head to Abyei on June 12.

The visit, jointly conducted by the company’s chain-of-command, authorized agencies under the VNDPKO and local party committees and authorities, was to realize the policy for troops’ families and seen as a source of spiritual encouragement for engineers to feel at ease to perform international duties.

The activity was significant to boost understanding between the company, its members’ families and local authorities, consolidating the solidarity and mutual support among the company’s personnel. It also helped the engineers’ relatives learn more about the peacekeeping duties their family members are carrying out and inspired the engineers to overcome all difficulties and fulfill all assignments by the Party, the State, and the military.

As envisaged, a see-off ceremony for the Engineering Company Rotation 1 will be held on June 12 at the VNDPKO.

Earlier, on May 5, a 28-member advance mission of the company arrived in UNISFA with absolute safety. The mission is conducting first duties there and preparing for welcoming the remaining members.
