The depot receiving the Defense Minister's certificate of merit
Addressing the ceremony, Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Tuan, Secretary of the unit’s Party Committee and its Political Commissar, confirmed that inheriting the tradition of troops of oil and gas, the depot’s officers and troops have tried their best to fulfill all assigned missions. Following the mottoes “The front in need of petroleum is like people in need of blood”, “To be brave in battlefields, to be unyielding in service” and “Goods could wait for vehicles, but vehicles should not wait for goods”, the depot’s troops have promoted their actions and heightened their combat determination to ensure the supply of oil and gas and related equipment for the whole army to defeat enemies, to build and develop the army as well as to firmly defend the Fatherland.

Over the past years, the depot has concentrated on building a strong and healthy Party committee, a comprehensively strong unit, and corps of active officers, troops and workers who have been tirelessly improving their expertise and knowledge of military, economy, science and technology.

Moreover, the unit’s leadership has bettered its consultative role in providing sufficient high-quality oil and gas for units and for reserves. They have also opened training courses for troops to help them master provided equipment, vehicles and improve their understanding of oil and gas pipelines and supply routes.

The depot staff also made much progress in personnel training and guarantee of oil and gas and technical assurance as well as fulfilled all assigned missions in any circumstances.
