Defense mission visits Depot J106
PANO - A mission of the Ministry of National Defense, led by its Deputy Minister Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, visited and inspected Depot J106 of the Department of Vehicles and Machinery under the General Department of Technical Services on March 10.
At the working session, Senior Colonel Pham Thanh Toan, Chief of the depot, briefed the mission on the unit’s task performance in 2019 and in the first quarter of this year.
According to the report, in the period, the depot has embraced and strictly implemented resolutions and directives of higher levels, contributing to strengthening internal solidarity.
Over the past time, the depot has put into operation three warehouses which were part of the first phase of the project, “Upgrading and improving depot.” The unit has received around 1,000 vehicles of different kinds and tens of thousands of equipment and provided maintenance for around 1,000 tons of weapons and spare parts and thousands of vehicles.
Speaking at the meeting, General Truong acknowledged the outcomes recorded by the depot’s personnel over the past time and asked the unit to continue maintaining vehicles, take different measures to effectively maximize warehouses, raise the quality of technical equipment, and promote emulation movements among its units while ensuring absolute safety for people.
Regarding the unit’s proposal to implement the second phase of the project, “Upgrading and improving depot,” General Truong said that he supports the proposal and assigned relevant agencies of the Ministry of National Defense to make a report to submit to defense leadership for approval.
