PANO – Depot K864 of the Department of Military Weapons under the General Department of Techniques on January 27th celebrated its 40th traditional anniversary (February 12th).

During the national resistance war, the unit received and then distributed thousands of tons of weapons, equipment and ammunition.

They also joined hands in handling unexploded ordnance and tons of CS tear gas (chemical formula C10H5CIN2) left behind from the war.

In more recent years, the depot actively invested in advanced facilities to better maintain weapons and equipment for tasks.

Apart from completing their defense missions well, the unit’s troops raised funds and donated working days to build gratitude houses and provide free health check-ups and medicines to locals in the Central Highlands region.

Depot K864 was conferred with the Third-class Feat of Arms Order by the Party and State, among other noble titles.
