Defense mission inspects air force unit
PANO - A mission of the Ministry of National Defense, led by Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister, inspected Regiment 927 of Division 371 under the Air Defense Air Force Service on Nov. 14.

Lieutenant General Pham Hong Huong, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, and Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, Commander of the Air Defense Air Force Service joined the mission.
Embracing the directions from higher levels, the regiment has maintained training exercises and combat readiness, mastered modern aircraft, as well as regularly conducted fighter maneuvers to promptly deal with unexpected situations. As a result, the unit has conducted 60 sorties overall, achieving 80 percent of the year plan.
Speaking to the unit’s chain-of-command, General Giang asked them to continue bringing into play their achievements, enhancing experience-sharing among pilots, and improving their fitness and foreign language skills, contributing to meeting the mission’s demand in the current context.
In addition, he requested the unit’s troops to heighten responsibility, address difficulties, and fulfill their assigned tasks for the remainder of 2017.
