Delegates at the conference |
In his remarks, General Phan Van Giang required that in the time to come, the officers and soldiers in the whole military should continue to strictly maintain combat readiness status, closely manage the airspace, sea, borders, mainland, and cyberspace, especially strategic and key areas; thoroughly follow, assess, and accurately forecast situations to give timely recommendation and deal with them in an effective manner; and coordinate to maintain security and order nationwide.
Control should be strengthened to prevent illegal entry and exit across borders, sea and islands while maintaining naval and coast guard forces, and standing militia flotillas on combat readiness duty in key maritime areas. Forces are also tasked with organizing the recruitment drive of 2026, creating a vibrant spirit of emulation from the very first day of training.
