In the 2022-2025 period, the two ministries closely coordinated to timely advise the Party and State on issuing documents, improving the quality of education and training in the military, and defense and security education for civilian students. Highlights included agreeing on training quotas, supporting admissions for the civilian system, opening new key training majors, and enhancing foreign language teaching quality.

Speaking at the conference, Minister Nguyen Kim Son hoped that military schools would continue to accompany the education sector in reforms, share experience in life skills training through models like “Semester in the military," and promote the system of museums and halls-of-fame to educate the younger generation on patriotism.

Concluding the event, General Nguyen Tan Cuong thanked the MoET for its support and urged the ministry to continue creating favorable conditions for opening new specialized and military talent training majors, as well as allocating quotas for overseas training. Notably, the General suggested the MoET support the establishment and admission organization of junior military schools; provide budget and learning materials for foreign language projects, and allow military training institutions to participate more deeply in professional activities of the education sector.
At the conference, leaders of the two ministries signed a coordination program for the 2026-2030 period.
