In the morning, General Giang visited and inspected the academy’s outcomes in scientific research and products. The defense minister spent time checking the operation of the semi-natural simulation of the S300-PMU1 control station, inertial navigation system for naval ships using fiber optic sensing technology and observing the combat crew of the Faculty of Control Engineering checking weapons and equipment of the AK230 artillery complex.

On directly checking instructors’ teaching and cadets’ learning in classes, the defense chief urged instructors to build 3D graphics to help cadets easily understand and acquire knowledge, and to give reality-based illustrations.
At the working session in the afternoon, MTA Director Lt. Gen. Nguyen Cong Dinh reported the school’s task achievements in 2021 and orientations for this year to the minister.
In particular, under its motto “The school’s training quality is its combat readiness capability,” the academy has actively reviewed, adjusted, and supplemented training programs, opened more training programs to meet units’ real requirements as well as requirements of Industry 4.0, and criteria of a research facility.
In addition, the academy has increased quality of teaching and learning of foreign languages, conducted scientific and technological activities with close attachment to the State’s and military’s orientations, programs, and big projects.

Together with high proportion of instructors holding post-graduate degrees, the academy has paid due attention to acquiring more modern equipment for scientific research and trial production work, thus raising the academy’s science and technology potential and trial production capacity.
Addressing the event, General Giang highlighted the long tradition of the academy as well as its strength in military and civilian science. He applauded the academy for its accomplishments over the past time.
Regarding future missions, the defense minister asked the academy to continue to embrace and effectively carry out higher levels’ resolutions and conclusions on education and training, and proactively work out comprehensive measures to improve scientific research and training quality.

He also urged the school to adjust its training programs in the direction of enhancing knowledge of technical command and staff and practice.
The MTA is to focus its orientations on producing academy-branded products close to units’ training, and combat readiness posture; IT application, building a smart and regular school, fostering a leading contingent of instructors, education managers, and scientists with good political quality and professional expertise, expanding cooperation in and outside the military and at home and abroad to gradually master science and technology, contributing to military building and national development.
