In the morning, the defense minister inspected the school’s K54 pistol shooting and line-up regulation training sessions and attended philosophy, English, and computing classes.
During the visit, General Giang listened to cadets’ opinions concerning the school’s training contents and methods and encouraged them to exert utmost efforts to raise their professionalism.
While attending classes, the defense minister shared his learning experience with the instructors and cadets of the school and provided them with various valuable information related to studying contents. Emphasizing the importance of foreign languages to social life in general and to military activities in particular, General Giang asked the school’s instructors and cadets to pay more attention to foreign language teaching and learning.

At the meeting with the school’s representatives later the same day, the visiting mission was briefed on the school’s task accomplishment last year and in the first months of this year as well as its key missions in the remaining of 2022.
According to the school’s Rector Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Ca, amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the unit has adjusted its training program, thus maintaining the school’s education and training quality.
Speaking at the working session, the defense minister strongly believed that the Army Officer Candidate School No.2 will continue fulfilling the mission of training future military commanders, leaders, and generals capable of successfully completing duties of revolutionary soldiers and firmly protecting the nation.
General Giang asked the school to build learner-centered training programs in line with real situations and continue renewing training programs and methods to comprehensively develop learners’ capabilities.
At the meeting, the defense leader also pointed out shortcomings in the school’s task performance over the past time. He asked the school’s instructors to have various teaching methods to draw learners’ fondness of learning.

The defense minister also asked the school to promote cooperation with other schools and units to exchange learning and teaching experience and pay attention to carrying out policy work.
