Over the past year, the school has proactively updated its teaching contents with new party's viewpoints, state's policies and laws, as well as social sciences and humanities contents in accordance with higher authorities' guidelines. The academy has increased the time for practical training in various fields and encouraged students to carry out thesis projects with products. It has also reviewed and adjusted many training programs for military engineers and master's and doctorate degrees.
Additionally, the academy has actively built training programs on the staff and command work in technical and logistic services in two separate groups while carrying out strict inspection and quality assurance of education, and increasing the application of information technology and digital transformation to serve training tasks.
The academy has also focused on building a strong Party organization in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization, and personnel, which is linked to building a comprehensive and exemplary strong school.
General Phan Van Giang highlighted that the tasks for 2023 and beyond are extremely challenging, especially in terms of organizational and personnel adjustments, which will have a direct impact on the officers, students, and employees' awareness and thoughts. He urged the academy to continue implementing the Party's guidelines, resolutions, and instructions from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on military and defense tasks, including education and training.
The defense leader suggested that the academy should collaborate pro-actively with other agencies and units to train high-quality human resources capable of building a modern military. The academy must focus on researching, proposing, and implementing training programs for specialized and focused fields, as well as enhancing the training process for military engineers. It is essential to allocate resources to improve the quality of training, he added.
General Phan Van Giang stressed that the Military Technical Academy should be more active in renewing its training programs, contents, methods, and physical training for female students. The academy needs to strengthen scientific and technological research, improve training quality, initiate technical innovation projects, and build training materials and textbooks. It is necessary to complete key tasks and projects promptly, implement joint research programs effectively, innovate weapons and technical equipment, and ensure practical training and combat readiness.
The academy should strengthen inspection and supervision, enhance examination and testing quality, and effectively execute the digital transformation plan to ensure education and training quality.
The defense minister requested that the Military Technical Academy continue to implement measures to enhance the effectiveness of the political and ideological education work. This effort will boost the training quality to contribute to building an elite and modern military that meets the country's defense and security requirements.
