Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Huy Vinh, Deputy Defense Minister addresses the event.

Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh and Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh attended the event.

In his speech, Lieutenant General Nguyen Cong Dinh, director of the academy, stressed that in the past, thousands of cadres, instructors, and cadets of the academy were present on battlefields. They both directly fought the enemy and served combat. After the national reunification, the academy has developed to meet the requirements of training, doing research, developing military technical-scientific potential, building the military, consolidating national defense, constructing and safeguarding the Fatherland.

To date, the development of the academy has been seen in training scale, forms, and  programs, including  22 doctorate, 29 master's, 45 military engineer’s, and 21 civil engineer’s programs.

Applauding the academy for its outstanding achievements over the past 55 years, General Vinh asked it to continue to embrace and realize resolutions adopted and directives issued by the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense, keep on innovating, improving education, training, and scientific research quality in line with its motto “The school’s training quality results in combat readiness capabilities.”

The academy was also requested to mobilize all its resources to effectively implement the project on the development of the academy by 2030, with a vision towards 2045, and to meet the Fatherland building and protection requirements in the current period.

For its excellent achievements in education, training, and scientific research, the academy has been awarded with the Third-Class Labor Order by the Party and the State.
