Reportedly, in 2021, the GDP embraced resolutions and directives of the Party, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense while implementing its assigned missions with good results, contributing to building a strong military and firm Party organizations in the military in terms of political affairs, ideology and structure.
Notably, the GDP adjusted plans for Party and political work in accordance with developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, improved the quality of political education, and launched numerous training courses on the Party’s resolutions. The organ directed the whole military to orient troops’ ideology, especially on complicated and sensitive issues, and actively fight against wrongful viewpoints of hostile forces.
Affiliated organs of the GDP collaborated well with central and local press agencies to enhance information dissemination on military-defense misisons, defense external affairs, and COVID-19 prevention and control, contributing to highlighting the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers. They also issued and conducted the action plan for the implementation of resolutions of 13th National Party Congress, proposed the adjustment of regulations of the Politburo and the Secretariat on operations of the Party and political organizations in the military, and carried out preparations and activities for the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and all-levels people’s councils for the 2021-2025 tenure.
They enhanced internal political protection, ensured benefits for troops taking part in the COVID-19 prevention and control as well as people affected by the pandemic and natural disasters.
Highly valued the GDP’s achievements over the past time, General Giang required the department to embrace higher levels’ resolutions, renew working styles, provide timely advice for the Central Military Commision and the Ministry of National Defense on Party and political work in the whole military.
In addition, he urged the organ to collaborate with the local authorities and relevant forces to enhance the quality of mass mobilization nationwide, propose measures to ensure policies for troops and their families, and so on.
In conclusion, the defense minister asked the general department to collaborate with the General Staff to organize exercises and competitions for political officers at all levels in 2022.
