In preparation for the 12th Military Party Congress, the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) has issued guidelines for Party congresses at all levels in the military. Meanwhile, subcommittees, especially the Drafting Subcommittee, have developed drafts for the congress's documents and asked for opinion from relevant agencies, delegates, and experts.
In his remarks, General Phan Van Giang underscored that the 12th Military Party Congress is an important developmental milestone, affirming the unity, bravery, intelligence, and good traditions of the Vietnam People's Army over the 80 years of building, fighting and growth; showing the determination to obtain the target of building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern military by 2030.
The defense leader required the GDP to study comments from members of the CMC’s Standing Board; timely update the content; proactively make thorough preparations of documents, personnel, and logistics for the congress.
* On the same day, the CMC’s Standing Board reviewed and gave comments on the draft Decree of the Government stipulating positions and their equivalent ranks, and other important issues.
