Defense leader meets with voters in Binh Duong province
PANO - On May 14, prior to the 15th National Assembly (N.A.)’s upcoming seventh session, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, together with a mission of N.A. deputies of Binh Duong province, met with voters in the communes of Minh Thanh and Minh Hoa in Dau Tieng district, and Long Nguyen commune in Hau Bang district, Binh Duong province.
At the meeting, voters expressed their delight at the N.A.’s task performance and national development, while making recommendations on the building of traffic system in remote areas, building policies for policy people, and improving health insurance policy, among others.

Speaking highly of the voters’ recommendations on socio-economic development of the region and the country, General Cuong noted that the N.A. deputies would report to leaders at higher levels as regulated. Regarding issues related to policy work, the deputy defense minister noted that the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense have proposed to leaders at higher levels to ensure policy work as regulated.
He also requested localities and units to mobilize all sources to well implement policy work and ensure policies for the military and its rear.

General Cuong also asked local authorities to address all arising issues so that voters would focus on their tasks and socio-economic development.
* On the same day, General Cuong and the delegation of the Ministry of National Defense, handed over money in cash to Dau Tieng district to help them build five gratitude houses and 20 great unity houses, worth totally VND 1.4 billion; presented 100 gifts to policy and needy households in the locality, and offered incense to pay tribute to war martyrs in Minh Thanh commune, Dau Tieng district.
